During her studies Anna gained  experience working in public community and mental health settings, as well as providing assessment and support in an acute/crisis intervention setting, which also involved assisting people with gambling difficulties.

For 7 years Anna had the pleasure of working within a multidisciplinary team at the Northside Clinic, Greenwich, during which time she provided inpatient group and individual therapy initially to the patients on the Acute Unit, later moving to the specialised eating disorders inpatient programme. Whilst continuing to gain valuable skills and knowledge at the Northside Clinic, she commenced her private practice work in 2003.  This experience in outpatient private practice and inpatient hospital treatment allowed Anna to develop her skills in the treatment of various psychological difficulties, as well as consolidating the importance of working within a multidisciplinary treatment team to support best treatment outcomes.

Anna also on occasion has worked as a tutor for a graduate psychology programme at Macquarie University, and has provided training seminars in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy to Lifeline counselling practitioners and to staff at Northside Clinic Private Hospital.

In 2009 she made the move to full-time private practice where she now provides psychological treatment for the specialist area of eating disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, self-esteem and personality difficulties, grief and loss, gambling problems, self-harm and difficulties dealing with emotions. She enjoys working with adolescents and adults, and her philosophy is to help each person live a satisfying and fulfilled life. This may involve using structured strategies to manage and prevent disorders such as those mentioned above, and/or identifying individual core values and supporting everyday choices in line with these values, as well as improving emotional expression and finding your true self.

During her Masters of Clinical Psychology Anna was trained extensively in the provision of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).  Since graduating in 2002 she has developed an interest and built skills in mindfulness based modalities, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT).  She has had the pleasure of training with the founders/leaders of these therapies such as Steven Hayes and Robyn Walser (ACT), Jon Kabat-Zinn (mindfulness), Marsha Linehan (DBT) and Mark Williams (MBCT).

She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds clinical psychology endorsements.  She is also a long standing member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), a member of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists, and an ANZAED approved Eating Disorder Credentialed Therapist.
